WHICH ARE YOU???
Yesterday was a fun day for me. My pals and I were at Shades children's home in Riruta. Those children have energy. They also have amazing dreams and ambitions.
We had a story time that doubled as a get to know each other time. So our resident storyteller, Lipi, gave us a very good story that goes like............................
There once was a sheep, a dog and a goat on their way to the city center. They took a Kenya bus and were comfortably seated. The dog paid his fair but forgot to pick his change when alighting. He only remembered after the bus had gone some distance. The goat got off before he could pay his fair, while the sheep paid his fair, got his right change and alighted.
That is why the dogs run after vehicles to get their change; Goats run away from vehicles as they fear they may be accosted for absconding from paying; while sheep don't particularly car about vehicles as they know that their conscience is clear. They did the right thing.
We are all leaders in society, one way or the other. We have social as well as moral responsibilities to both our countries and our societies. Take the analogy that the vehicle is history, which animal will you be?
The dog that did not do what was suppossed to be done at the right time and is theirfore always after a chance to do it? or the goat that feels embarrased to face history because he knew what the right thing to do was but did not do it? How about the sheep that did the right thing at the right time and theirfore has no fear being scrutinised?

FUNDAMENTAL DIFFERENCES
Weird heading huhh? Yeah it is for a reason. Everyday, I find more fundamental differences between the fairer sex and their male counterparts. Yesterday, my friend - let's call her D - ( and no that is not me) had drama. There was a colleague who was to drop her off at a certain point. Unfortunately he realised that he had carried another colleagues phone(men!!!) so he had to go back. So d asked him to drop her off as someone was waiting to give her a ride home. Note that she lives quite a distance from Nairobi. This guy - the driver decided that no, "we are coming back really quick so tell the guy waiting to wait on". First difference - because they were to pass the drop off point anyway, why didn't he just drop her????????? moving on......................
So they come back to the office and give off the phone. Meanwhile the ride home gets irritated at being kept so he leaves. That I can understand. So would I. Get irritated I mean. Second difference....................... Considering that He had a habit of keeping her waiting on numerous previous occasions, !!!!!!!!!!! he could have just waited for an extra 20 min!!!!!!!!!! Then he calls her and sparks at her and she gets angry and sparks at him bla bla blah...........................................
Third difference....................................... He calls back, not to apologise for at least his part, but to tell her that she should apologise and that he will see her tomorrow. TOMMORROW huh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! like....................... so not happening!!!!!!!!!!
Meanwhile the first driver is also pissed at D coz she is pissed at him. As far as he is concerned, He is innocent of any wrong doing and if anything, D should apologise!!!!!! but remember she now has to incur an expense of taking a cab home. Lucky enough, her neighbour was close by and saved the day, although she still took a cab so that she could meet him.

DRAMA! DRAMA! DRAMA!
I am a regular drama queen, Yes I acknowlwdge that! But if I gave you my size 5 shoes, so would you. I mean, how many people do you know can put up with what I do on a daily basis? I have 4 jobs that I have to take care of, translates to no social life at alll!!!!!! That in itself puts me on the list for sainthood, Right behind mother Theresa.
